As a result of the continued effort to provide world-class customer decisioning to its customers and shareholders,National Australia Bank needed to understand the talent landscape relating to the role of Executive, Customer Decisioning. With this in mind, NAB engaged Will to develop a comprehensive market map of outstanding talent which reflected the very best talent in relation to this critical and highly technical role.

The roles

Reporting to the Executive, Customer Decisioning & Insight,this role is primarily responsible for owning the design,development, and implementation of NAB’s customerdecisioning capability, interfacing with various product,marketing, and channel teams, and driving the output ofthe decision science. They also built and led a team ofdecisioning scientists throughout several businessdomains, including Direct and Indirect, across Business andPrivate Banking.

The research focused primarily throughout Sydney and Melbourne, unearthing a collection of diverse and relevanttalent.

The completed market map was then used by the NAB Executive Talent Acquisition team to benchmark their internaltalent options against the most relevant profiles in the market.

Having reviewed profiles in the market map, NAB’s team was able to make an informed decision to launch an externalsearch for this critical role.
